Caravan and Camping Site
Birtwick Park is a Certified Site of the Camping and Caravanning Club on the outskirts of the picturesque harbour village of Solva with its quaint shops, galleries and traditional pubs and restaurants. The campsite is approximately 2 acres set within our 15 acre equestrian smallholding on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park. There you can enjoy spectacular views to the coast across rolling Pembrokeshire countryside, and is perfect for animal lovers and walkers of the coastal path.
Cyclists can explore the county with direct access onto national cycle route 4 and horse riders can enjoy superb hacking to the beach and aerodrome. Britain's smallest city of St Davids is on the doorstep featuring the spectacular cathedral and Bishops Palace. Newgale’s magnificent sandy beach, popular with surfers and families alike is also nearby. With very little light pollution, Birtwick Park is perfect for viewing the night sky, on a clear night the Milky Way is clearly visible. We have encouraged wildlife to return to the land and are lucky enough to have a Barn Owl as regular visitor, hunting the paddock adjacent to the camping field most evenings.
The facilities include electric hook-ups to all pitches, a luxury toilet and shower block and a choice of hardstanding, grass and extra large pitches.
The showers are free of charge to our campers and the system has been carefully designed specifically for us, to ensure that ample hot water is available at all times and the water pressure and temperature will not be affected by the number of users.
Fire pits for campfires are available on request. Well behaved pets are welcome and livery facilities are available for those wishing to bring their horse on holiday. (additional charges may apply)
